Cute little Janie!

Emma, aka "princess" painting with her friends.

Derek and Emma went to Cal-Ranch to get her some "worker" gloves.

Who knew changing the oil was so fun? Look at that face!

There's nothing like a daddy day. Derek took the girls and did yard work, made two trips to the dump, changed the oil, rented a power-rake and raked the lawn, went to Cal-Ranch, and more. He is awesome in case anyone was wondering. The girls love to ride in the truck with him. I love the bond Derek has with the girls. He jokes that Jane wants him 1/8 of the time and me 7/8 of the time. But really, if she doesn't get her 1/8 she is sad.

Derek is also a little baker these days. We only have fresh home made bread now. It's heavenly. Emma of course wants to help with that too.

Alright, Jane had her 15 month appointment and the stats are in. Yep, she's still tiny...5th percentile for height and weight, but her head is nice and big. Hey, we're doing our part to fatten the little lady up. Here's Jane eating steak and potatoes. This girl looooves meat, and everything actually. She is getting to be the funnest little person with a huge personality. She'll find anything that resembles a screw driver and anything that looks like it might need fixing and goes for it. Usually it's a medicine syringe and a screw in a chair. But my favorite so far is when we were at a baptism and she got a key and started screwing a button on the pocket of a man in front of us. Sorry Doug! She is getting a little feisty too. I was reading a book to her and Emma came up. Jane pushed Emma away. She knows when Emma's around she doesn't get as much attention I guess. She's learning to say a lot of things...dadda, mama, Emma, Derek (really, it's true!), rabbit, go, hello, shoe, etc. I love this stage. The other day Derek left before Jane woke up. She put the phone up to her ear and said "hello, hello...dada?" She also crawled into Emma's room while Em was sleeping, saying "Emma, Emma." We love this little Janie girl.

Emma post-church and apparently too hot to wear her jacket.

Jane loves to play with this little truck.
