We had a pretty good weekend. On Saturday I got a lot of laundry and house work done. Then Derek and I took Emma on a walk in the "doodle bug" (one of those awesome running strollers that you can hook up to your bike). It was the first time that stroller had seen the sunshine in a while so it was pretty exciting. The "doodle bug" means spring!!! Then we went to Rachel's 2nd birthday party for some cake and good times. Our friends, the Hillmans, invited us over for pizza and games. Emma loves their little girls, Sydney and Payton. Homemade pizza is always so good, and we had fun playing Blokus (one of Derek's favorite games) and Rummikub (one of my favorite games). On Sunday we went over to Nate and Jen's for dinner. The lasagna and cheese cake really hit the spot. And I was very impressed with Jen's ability to entertain Emma at their house since we didn't bring many toys. Emma didn't even destroy the house! We are so lucky to have such great friends and family. Oh, the above picture was taken at Nate and Jen's. Emma loves her dad for sure.
